My decision to sign up for a yoga class, offered through my work, was a game changer in my life. I started yoga with the intention of meeting more people at work and to get some exercise during the day. (It was also an excuse to get away from my desk, but that is another blog post.)
What began as a purely physical exercise turned into an incredible tool in my journey of self growth. I used to have a serious victim mentality, and I used to get mad a lot. Not in front of anyone, only on my own, but it was not a nice way to be. I definitely was not living in any sort of alignment with myself. I credit yoga as one of the main reasons I have grown out of some of those negative mind sets. Meditation, breath work and mantras have all had their part in my yoga practice leading to a greater self discovery.
For anyone who thinks they cannot practice yoga because they can't touch their toes... I am here to tell you there is so much more to it.
